Dec. 10, 2009

I thought hey why not start up a blog of my life. Ive had journals and things like this is the past and it does help sometimes to just let things out, and also so friends and family can keep up with you and whats been going on in you life ..., since being a military wife we dont have the luxury of being right by friends and family all the time.
I moved to Alamogordo New Mexico with my husband in September. We were stationed to Holloman AFB. I have to say it has been pretty good here so far. Ive made friends here already, and I also managed to snag a job at the Bowling alley on base. They are building all new houses on the base which is really nice. We are on a wait for one.In the mean time we found an apartment off base to live in till its ready. We were told though that they will not be ready till about Jan- Feb frame. So we are waiting as patiently as we can at the apartment. The apartment is really nice though. So i dont mind waiting a little. Although im a littly weary with houseing because I've been told by others that there not very organized, and that they have gave peoples houses away that were waiting by accident. So for that reason me and Mike keep checking the list, calling ,and going in often to make sure all is well with the place we were promised.
In the mean time Mike and I will be returning home for christmas to see family and also to pick up our dogs .My Lhasa Apso named Luna, and His German Sheperd named Jerry Lee. We had to leave them behind at first because coming to Holloman AFB we didnt have a secure place to stay yet. So our parents took care of them for us, and now that we have the apartment, and here soon the house we are ready to bring them home. I am so excited about that! Ive missed them so much. I have the best of both...my little lap dog and my Big lap dog. Im excited to be seeing my family too.. I've been a little home sick; so it will be nice to see them again. This is my fisrt time ever really being away from them.,so its taking some getting used to. But Mike helps make me feel better about the situation, its also nice to have the job to keep me a little busy, and friends that know what your going through. I also still talk to my family a lot on the phone and by email, believe it or not that helps a lot too. Thanks technology! haha. Well im out for now.
